Background and Credentials

Dr. Owais Farooqi, Board Certified in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery, has over 16 years of experience. He earned his dental degree from SUNY Buffalo, completed his residency and master’s in Periodontics at the University of Tennessee, and holds an MPH from Johns Hopkins. A former Trustee of the American Academy of Periodontology, he teaches residents in Periodontics, GPR, and AEGD programs. As a visiting consultant, Dr. Farooqi offers advanced periodontal and implant care grounded in evidence-based practice and patient comfort. Outside dentistry, he enjoys hiking and exploring small towns with his wife, Laura, and their son.
